We are currenty getting heavy wet snow here and have a 1/2" accumulated on vehicles. The grassy surfaces and gravel roads have a coating.

What the snow in October?!?

 

I was just about to start a thread on this.

 

We've got about 1/4" accumulation of wet, slushy snow, it's been coming down for an hour or so, just started sticking. I have a shitload of energy right now, and I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night. Snow is like crack to me.

To all you guys in the great white north, this probably doesn't seem like anything special, but lately it rarely snows in Jersey, and it NEVER snows before christmas, let alone in freaking October.

Yeah, when I saw the subject line, I went & double-checked the forecast for up here today... mid to upper 60's here!

Checking my email groups this morning there was a post from one of the people who lives in NJ who was saying that she could see snow coming down. When I read that I was wondering how excited Dan was going to be to see snow so early in the season. According to her weather prediction crew it's going to be a cold and snowy winter there.

 

Here I have only ever seen snow once in October. Not that we ever get all that much snow anyway.

We're expecting 10-15 cm of the stuff later today/tomorrow morning.

But it'll be 15c on Friday so it ain't staying.

They are calling for an inch of wet snow tonight for us (north east Michigan). I don’t know? I used to really love the snow but the older I get the less I do. I would vote for a two week bombardment around Christmas with temps going back up to the mid 50’s January, 1.
