Humming From Dash

Howdy all, just noticed a few days ago that when I turn off my truck, I can hear a humming from inside the dash. I realize that the radio stays on until you open the door. As soon as I open the door the "humming" slows and then stops. It almost sounds like a little fan is running in the dash. Anyone else have this? I'm pretty sure it is nothing serious, must just be something that continues to run when the truck is shut down. But somehow it is linked to me opening the door. It shuts off when I open the door to get out. Just curious what things still run after the truck shuts off. I know I don't have an electric fan. Any ideas? A little radio cooling fan? Ha Ha.

Yup, it's the fan in the radio.

+1. Also, if I have a CD playing and shut off the truck, I can hear the CD spinning until I open the door.

same for me....it's normal...or at least everyone's does it, so that makes it "normal"

im not sure if you have the same problem as mine but i have a little thing next to my ear on the drivers side right above the door that looks like a speaker but it is actually a fan for the hvac control unit and it sounds like a buzzing/humming but i cant hear mine over the radio

Wow, thanks for the responses guys. I was actually kidding about a little "fan in the radio", but I guess that makes sense. A lot of little electronic parts require fans now. So, that's an explanation. I love this forum.
