Lubricants/fluids Survey

I'm thinking of changing out all of my fluids in the truck and I'm hoping some people could share what brand and type of fluids/oils you use. I have the Autotrac system on my truck.

Transmission:

Transfer Case: (heard GM AutoTrak II is the only way to go)

Front Differential:

Rear Differential:

Engine Oil:

I'm not looking long winded studies or anything. Just curious what people are using.

The german made Caatrol Syntec 0W30 is a kick arse oil!

I'm using it too, have been since 8k miles. No problems so far, but not that I was expecting any problems...lol.

Just recently changed my rear diff fluid to Royal Purple also. Haven't changed the tranny fluid yet but I may do that in the Spring, and install a tranny cooler at the same time.

Transmission:

Amsoil ATF Dexron VI

Did you do a complete flush or just drop the pan to change the fluid/filter/gasket?

Thank you for all the replies folks. The plan right now is to go with Mobil 1 for engine oil (they didn't have any GC 0W30 in stock), and Royal Purple for the front/rear diffs, Royal Purple for the tranny, and Autotrak II for the transfer case.

Complete flush using purge method, drop pan and inspect (no debris found in pan), keep oem filter (only 1,000 miles on new vehicle), fill pan and then disconnect cooler lines and run 16 qt thru to make sure all of the oem ATF was gone. All work done by ASE trans pro's with my supplied lubes. Had them do both axles at the same time. I have used this shop for many years and they are experts doing this, took about 1-1/2 hrs at $50hr labor. I send them about 1-2 customers a month. No machines in use at this shop, mention one and they say a silent prayer because they are the shop who fixes all the trans mistakes the local quick lubes create with the flush machine. He jokingly told me he would have to lay off 1 person if they stopped using the flush machines.

The GC 0w-30 is only available at Autozone. I have used it and it is great stuff. Since then I have moved on to Amsoil

Transmission: Whatever came from the factory (I do not do any heavy duty towing)

Transfer Case: Whatever came from the factory

Front Differential: Whatever came from the factory

Rear Differential: Whatever came from the factory

Engine Oil: Used whatever oil the GMC dealership used for the first 10,000 miles, then switched to Mobil-1 5W30 Full Synthetic with an AC/Delco oil filter. I change the oil every 5000 miles, which is usually every 6 months for me.

Fuel: 85 Octane, Any major brand. Usually Conoco, Phillips 66, or Chevron (when in a state that has Chevron)

Blinker Fluid: Amsoil
