Recommended Posts

Well I've started ,  Saturday I went to  my Chevy dealer and bought a set of there molded "spash Guards" with the bowtie emblem.  Has anyone painted these to match the truck or am I on the wrong track?:notice:

I have a set of Husky Mud Flaps still in the box waiting to decide if I want to paint them...

Their instructions are as follows,

1) clean with soap and water

2) sand w/320 grit sand paper

3) apply a coating of flexible primer-adhesion promoter

4) apply a flexible paint

This is probably similar to painting any of the black body parts on your truck...  most people have had great success from the pictures I've seen!

I've seen a Jeep Cherokee w/ front and rear mudflaps painted red to match.  To me they didn't look good.  Way too much red.  But, it may be different on the truck.  I suppose if it doesn't you can always take them off.
