Wrecked My Truck =(

ok, i hit a little bit of ice last night and slid into an underpass... broke my bumper, grill, pushed my hood all out of wack, and scraped my fender, its an 04 1500, i want to get a hood off an 06 for it, will they fit without problems and can i get someones VIN number that has an 06 because my body shop will need that to order the parts and if anyone knows the part number i'd like that too....oh and it scraped my fender and hood, but my doors have been repainted and they suck and i would like to have them repainted, what could i use to scuff the door a lil bit to make it look like it got scraped my the underpass wall lol...i know i'm bad but i wanna get my moneys worth out of my insurance haha

What he said. Mines an 04 and all we did was get the 06 hood and grill, bolts right up with no need for modifications of any kind. Also, insist that they blend the doors when they repaint the fenders so it will match, that should work.

ok, yea everyone is ok, thanks! So if i get the hood i have to get the grill as well? anyone know part numbers or VIN numbers for 06, and the reason i'm sayin i want the drivers door painted as well is because last year i had a deer accident and the shop that repainted it left sanding marks in the base coat and it looks like crap under light as well as it doesnt match that well, i really want that painted lol

For the vin number, have you tried looking at a used car dealer's website or sales lot? I just went out to my local Chevy dealer's website and they list the vin for their used vehicles, but didn't have an 06 truck listed. Just a thought....
