Hi everyone, I joined a few weeks ago but haven't gotten around to introducing myself yet. Anyway, my name is Carl - I just picked up a 97 K2500 with the 6.5 diesel to replace my 96 f150. I liked my f150 just fine but needed something with more towing capacity to haul my subaru rally car.

 

So far I've been really happy with the truck. It's started up right away for me even in -20 weather (plugged in of course). It runs strong and pulls hard.

 

Here she is with the rally car trailered up. I drove from the twin cities, mn up to orr, mn for some ice racing this weekend. The car is a 2004 Subaru STI and has been built for Rally America's Open Light class (the only thing left is to drop the new n/a engine in - yes, a non-turbo STI lol!)

By the way, I took a peek at your smugmug, and you've got some damn nice shots in there. :crackup: Canon FTW! :D

thanks guys! I also daily drive a 91 galant vr4 (when it's not broken :D )

 

yea I do (or used to do) quite a lot of photography. but the rally car has kind of taken over all my free time for now
