Hi guys,

My name's Pete and I'm from Massachusetts. I just bought an '06 GMC Sierra SLT Z-71...it's loaded to the teeth. Bought it this past Monday and just took delivery yesterday. Love the truck, such an obnoxious upgrade from what I had before. We got a great deal on it and I'm so happy that my three-month search for a new truck is finally over. As you can see, I wasted no time finding a GM forum to peruse.

I'm 21 and am a full-time student and I work pretty much any time I'm not in class. Looking forward to getting to know the forum and making this new truck my own, I have a few plans but money will be a lot tighter with the payments!

and my old ride, '97 Ford Explorer...had over 110k on the clock when I traded it in, that, and it's was also bare naked. All of that stuff had been taken off and is on craigslist now :D . It was my frist truck, can't complain much, but she needed to go.

Welcome, and congrats on the purchase. I like those wheels a lot. :D

Got anything planned for the truck?

Thanks man!

Yeah, I've got quite a few things planned for the rig, but like I previously mentioned, money is going to be tight! The things I need/want the most right now is a back rack and a tool box, both of these I scour craigslist for daily. I've got a box of electronics that need to find a clean, suitable place in the truck with as little modification possible - CB radio, Scanner, etc. I also need to make a switch panel because I have to have my off road lights, auxilliary reverse lights, strobes, etc. A brush guard at one point is a must, it gives me something to mount my lights on and I'm always in the woods and love pushing shopping carts out of parking spaces  . At some point I'm getting the exhaust done and probably adding a full intake, Volant, I hope. I have a secondary tranny cooler sitting in my room as well as a remote tranny filter (both from B&M) that I want to install...all with due time! Spring break will be busy!
