Service Air Bag Message

So I thought I did it right by pulling negative battery cable before installing an electric tailgate lock - connected to the keyless entry lines in driver’s side passenger door well. I needed to test the function of the actuator and connected the battery - then went on with install and forgot to disconnect negative again - OOPS. I had to disconnected the wiring harnesses (one with the orange safety plug) behind the driver's side kick-panel to run the cable where I needed to and I think that is where the problem started.

 

All seemed good but when I finished and went to run an errand the SERVICE AIR BAG message was displaying and the air bag light was on. When I got back I looked at the harnesses and they where plugged in properly. I think the one with the "orange safety plug" runs to the passenger seat and is the detection for the air bag and with the battery connected it pulled an error.

 

Do I need to go to the dealer or is there a way to clear that code? So far I have disconnect the neg for an hour, driven over 100 miles and still error message. HELP!!
