Door Handle Cable Behind Door Panel

I see the cable sets in a casting much like a bike brake. I can't seems to get any slack to get it out.

Any help appreciated.

 

Door panel and electrical was easy, just don't want to make a mistake.

Not the answer you are looking for but if you stick the lower door trim tabs in the slots in the door it will hang there just fine while you work on the door. That's what I did.

I just pulled the handle and then tugged on the cable as it returned and got enough slack to disconnect.

I figured it out; Just popped the clip holding the cable in. One door done and one to go. I installed fosgate components and dynamated the door. Tweeters are going in the sails.

 

The amount of work I did to this door, hanging on the cable was not an option.
