How Many Miles On Your Non G M Vehicle?

Today as I pulled into my driveway in my daily driver work Ford, I turned exactly 155,655 miles. I drive about 350 miles a day on average. I've been through an alternator, added new shocks, 2 sets of front brake pads, one set of rotors, and one cracked trans seal that started leaking (at 140K - it still shifted fine but rather than reseal it, we chose to install a rebuilt unit due to the mileage). All what I would consider pretty normal issues considering the miles. I still get 20.5 MPG out of almost every tank and don't use any oil between 7500 mile changes (using synthetic). At 155K there is a tiny amount of on the gas whine in the rear axle but it's still very minor. The front end has a sway bar bushing rattle on really rough roads if the wheels are cranked hard.

Of course we have maintained it well but overall I really cant complain. The Explorer still runs and drives very well and is tight and solid as an Explorer can be. If it weren't, I'd replace it instantly. I'm at the point now that I want to drive it just to see how far it will go. I'm bucking for 200K by years end.

What kind of experiences do you have with your non GM vehicles?

Here's the woman's little loaded 2005.5 Jetta 2.5 with 34,000 miles.

We haven't replaced a single thing or had a single problem with it.

Bought it used with 4000 miles.

Around 68k miles on the wife's 2002 Honda Odyssey. Normal maintenance thus far, no major repair issues with engine or drivetrain. She would really like a GMC Acadia, but given our current finances/economy, we'll keep it for another couple of years at least.

Well...that would be 337 miles on my only non-GM

No non-GM's here...but one of these days I will have an Aston Martin, and then I will probably put around 1000 miles a week on it, just cause I can.

I have an '87 Mustang which I bought from the original owner about 10 yrs. ago. It's the 5.0 MPFI HO,5 sp.This car has about 197,000 miles on it and it still runs great. In fact it just passed Ca. smog test with no problems. It's just to small so it sits alot and I'm trying to sell it.When you stomp on the skinny pedal it still sets you back in the seat and is like driving a go-cart in our local canyons. No major problems...clutch,radiator,water pump, fuel pump all replaced but that's expected on any vehicle over time........

Still looks good too! Those Fox body Stangs are all the rage at the drag strip these days down here. Those Mustang boys know how to go fast.
