This is the kind of crap that I'm glad we don't have here.

I like to check out different forums for new ideas, but seeing stuff like that makes me stay away.

That does sound like a strange thing to do but believe it or not I have seen an early '90s model Chevy 4x4 and a 4x4 Suburban sprayed in the liner as well.

I guess some people figure it will hold up better than paint if you're going to go through the woods.
