Do You Like The Sle/lt Or Slt/ltz Interior?

I personally like the SLE/LT interior better. To me, it looks more like a "truck" interior... The SLT/LTZ interior looks more like a SUV interior, and reminds me to much of a Tahoe and Yukon.

Yes, the LTZ interior may be more upscale and luxurious, but there is really nothing that wrong with the SLE interior except the door handles.... they are very cheap looking...

So what do you think? Which one do you prefer for a truck?

Which ever one has the split bench with the center jumpseat. I hate big giant consoles in anything, let alone something that's big enough to have a bench seat in the front.

I agree, I prefer the interior with the 40/20/40 seat. I just got my 2009 a few weeks back now. I actually looked hard to find one with the 6.0 and that combination. The majority had the console along with the leather seating. I have nothing against the leather or the console I just prefered the 40/20/40 seat.

I also didnt see paying for bose and a few other things that get combined with them when you walk the lots looking for a truck.

I am extremely pleased with the bench seat I have floor space back and I can flip the armrest up and my dog can get in and out on my side of the truck now.

Wich one has the better cup holders that are easier to get to?

I like the 60/40 seat in my truck because I can get 6 people in it if needed but the cup holders are in a crappy location.

I like them both. In my opinion GM has nailed the interior on their trucks (and have had the best interior for quite some time). With the two interiors they have something for everyone.

I personally wanted the LTZ interior. I like it for how I use my truck.

The new 40/20/40 seats have three cupholders in the armrest--perfect location!

I do agree that Gm's interiors are the best by far, but as having something for everyone I'd say no. I orderd a 1500 SLT, and I could not get the 60/40 split bench as an option. I want leather and I want the features of the SLT so buckets it is (I also wanted a 6'6" box on the crew cab or the 5.3/ 6 speed in the extended cab and Carbon Black Mettallic would have been nice with the All Terrain Package). Check out the new Dodge 1500 interior if you want to see something hideous.

I prefer that my interior look like a truck, not the soccer-mom SUV interior. The jump seat console holds more and is more convenient for an actual armrest than the center console. And by the way, wood grain dashes suck! Looks like my old man's 1977 Ford LTD station wagon.

when i was shopping i preferred the pure truck interior, but over time my preference has shifted to the luxury interior. they look so nice. doesn't really matter, SLT/LTZ trucks were going for more than i was willing to pay.

I like my truck interior as opposed to the SUV interior. I drove my Aunt's Tahoe a couple days last week when I was in OK and I thought the radio and HVAC were too low and much harder to reach. Also, not a fan of wood trim. Truck dash has cubbies and the the bench seat with three huge cup holders and two decently large bins, one locking and two glove boxes. When driving on the highway I like resting my elbow on my right knee, which wouldn't be possible with a console cause it'd get in the way. I wish you could get the truck interior in the SUVs.

SLE for me, for the 40/20/40 seat. GM should offer this seat for all trim levels, and put a shoulder strap/head rest on there too. It's not so much the extra seat position (since it's hard as a rock), but the open floorboard.

While I'm thinking about it... there should be a useful headrest at all seating positions in crew cabs. What's with the rear head rests that want to fall down when you put your head against them? I wouldn't want monster headrests everywhere, just something that slides down "even with the seat top" when collapsed, but that adjusts-up/"locks" for an adult.

The only reason I don't like the SLT/LTZ interior as much is that the center console is a pain when a **male driver is going to receive oral sex from a willing female occupant, the center console will be an obstruction.**

**mature and professional tone used when typing :D

And yes I know that it is still possible even with a center console. They are still a pain in the ass though. I know from experience when I had my 2005 Lariat Supercrew.

Other than that I love the SLT/LTZ interior. I agree with Jeff the "truck" interior kind of looks cheap.
