Hello I am pulling the trigger on a new truck to replace my 06 Ford f250sd,My replacement choice is a Chevy Silverado 2500hd Duramax 4X4 LTZ.

I have always lifted my trucks I dont want to go any larger than 4" lift,i would like to run 35" tires .any suggestions would be appricieted!!

Thanks Frank

With a 4" lift I dont see 35"s fitting. We have that truck with a 6" lift and 35"s still rub at lock.

Its an HD. They are higher then the 1500's stock. Most fit 35's on HDs with just a t-bar crank.

Nope, We have an 3500 HD and with a 6" lift we are rubbing 35"s

I have a 1500 and A 3500HD just so you know next time.

Hd has no differance, we had the t-bars absoultly cranked and they rubbed 33" badly

So go 8" if you want decent tires to fit

Riiiight! Were you using aftermarket wheels? The HD's are higher period. I don't know what you are looking at, but they def are.

Ok they might be a tad higher but not much at all, I would be able to tell as I have both trucks infront of me....

I am using aftermarket rims with the 35"s with a bit more - offset but not much. There has been 2 2500HD sierra's that have the same problem as me, 6" lift and are running 34's becuase there 35's rub.

Just giving info I have, no reason to lie.

These trucks just cant fit tires. simple as that.

I'd vote for the cognito. I had there upper control arms and basically their 2.5 - 3" leveling kit on my 05 HD. I've been reading it's been tuff to fit the 35's on the NBS HD's with a 4" kit. It's been done but I think you might have to do some "fitting" to the wheel wells up front. They are more boxed off than the prior generation.

Good choice on the Duramax - I'm regretting getting rid of mine everyday. It's hard to have all that torque and then not.... oh well

Yeah. You could make the case that an HD with a 6" lift is comparable to a 1500 with a 8"-9" lift.

I will apologize before I go any further. I was thinking about the gmt800's. I know these new trucks have the squared and retarded wheel wells. Just didn't think that far I suppose so I am sorry for being argumentative. I guess I got lucky with mine as the 6" lift I bought lifts the truck 8" so I have no rubbing.

Haha yeah, i miss the 800 wheel wells:( oh well

i don't know what your talking about. i work with a guy with a 08 2500 HD and his truck BONE stock is only a few inches lower than my truck with a 6" kit and 35's. i GUARANTEE i could fit 35's on his truck on stock wheels with a torsion bar crank and some trimming. i honestly fail to see how you can't clear 35's on an HD with a 6" lift. I needed only MILD trimming to clear 35's on my 1500 with the incorrect backspace for the lift to top it all off.
