I was wondering will an after market intake, for example Banks intake, increase the throttle response?

It'll make it sound better but not much else. CAI's don't really do all that much. If you want throttle response, get a tune. Plenty of guys here with 6.0L's that can vouch for that.

I'm one of those guys. The Black Bear tune has made my 6.0 much much more responsive. The GM CAI did add some nice sound...

I don't think you have the option of adding one right now unless you cut the MAF sensor out of the intake tube. GM integrated the MAF into the tube for 09 I thought. You could use a drop in filter.
