Sounds like one hell of a challenge for the auto industry. Trucks getting 30 mpg is ridiculous, unless they all become 4 banger hybrids that cannot really tow or travel 40 miles without getting a recharge. 6.5 years to go, we got some time but the technology advancements need to come quick.

I was thinking the same thing,I don't see trucks getting 30 mpg happening anytime soon

so i didn't read it all but say I still have my truck in 2012...will i be charged more for having/driving a truck? or is it just targeting new vehicle purchases
