Headlight Switch W/fogs

When I did my foglight mod, I ordered switch model #D1500J which has a black bezel. I am looking for the same switch but with a chrome bezel so that it will match the other dials on the radio and AC. Has anyone found this item?

Get the VIN off a truck with the switch like you want and then call the dealer to order it.

Any one with a foglight switch with chrome bezel that can give me the part number? I am guessing this is standard in the SLE and LT trims, my SL had a black bezel. On the SLT and LTZ trims I think it is a totally different switch.

when you say chrome bezel...you talking about the ring on the knob?

Bump and we are so close to having the ac-delco model number or GM part number! :P

Got to have this switch, it bothers me it is not the same as the other dials in the truck. Why would GM make it different?

I believe you want part #25858705, its for the uplevel SLT package, the other number listed was w/o uplevel.

I looked up that part number on Amazon and it has it as model D1527J. On Rockauto it is one of the three that show up when I select GMC 2008 Sierra SL. (D1500J which I have, D1527J, and D1531J which is not available on Amazon) Amazon has the D1527J, however it says that it does not fit my truck??? It is 35.88 + 4.99 shipping. I'll give it a try, anyway. I'll let you all know when I get it. Thanks for you help, y2kz71

I got the new switch in Friday and installed it today. Looks good. I also installed a leather steering wheel w/radio controls.

I hate to bring an old topic back to life....but how do you install said switch mentioned above? My switch went kaput and now I just ordered the proper switch but have to get that plastic stuff off so I can install it. Can any of you give me any good tips/tricks/hints on getting that bezel off (in one piece) so it goes back on after I am done. I'd sure appreciate any advice from you guys!
