Control Tailgate Lock With Key Fob

Anyone know how to install actuators and know of wiring diagram for setting up Silverado/Sierra tailgate lock to work in conjuction with key fob as the avalanche/escalade ext does? I noticed on the toyota tundra forum there are several owners hooking this up along with the ability to make the tailgate drop down/open as well. Seems like the trickest part is knowing which wires control the lock and which the unlock. Otherwise I think all you need is a relay and an actuator.

A complete wiring diagram would be in a GM factory service manual set which you can order from your dealer.

pop & lock tailgate locks makes electric locks like that, so does someone else who i completely forget right now

I have the pace edwards power gate kit. works great.

 

Behind the drivers door panel there are 3 wires going to the lock. You have to tap into 2 of them until u get the combo that works correctly. Mine was the brown and one of the purple. If iy works backwards, switch the wires.

Does the pace edwards work withthe factory key fob? Alos would it unlock with the doors when put in park?
