Thanks a million. Where did you find all that stuff?

Yup, its a 4x4. Do they make any 900s with the Z-71 package in 2wd?

I work for a GM dealer.

And yes,You can get a GMT900 2wd Z71.

The Z71 option is not available unless you get 4x4.

Anyone know if the body mount bolt torque spec for a 2008 silverado 45lb/ft or 74ft/lb?

I read a earlier spec of 45lb/ft but i have come across a few threads about the body noise and they talk about 74lb/ft.

pretty big difference between the two and looking for some clarification

I have a 2010 silverado 1500 regular cab long bed 4x4 work truck with a 4.8L. Could anyone tell me the torque spec of the cab mounts? I'm looking to put side steps on but want to make sure I torque them to the correct ft lb. I read the one thing that says 44 ft lb 170 degrees but that sounds really low to me and I don't know what the 170 degrees meant

My truck was creeking also. I took it back to the dealer and they re torqued them and after a while it happened again and I took it back and they re torqued them again and they said there's a new spec so maybe the 74 is the new one but don't quote me on it

Z71 is a suspension package not a 4 wheel drive package you can get a 2 or 4 wheel drive with that suspension

what about the bolts on the transmission pan

Tighten the oil pan to transmission case bolts alternately and evenly to 11 N·m (97 lb in)

(This was answered in post 25)

On previous gen truck yes,you had to get a 4x4,however on the '07-up GMT900 trucks you can get the Z71 option on 2wd's.

Well I hate to ask but I am putting leveling kit on 2011 Sierra Denali - do you have the torque specs for front end.

Thanks

I know you posted your question awhile ago,but all the specs you need are on the first page in post#3

I am going to be changing the front brakes on an '07 Avalanche (GMT-900) 4wd. There were torque specs for a 2008 earlier in this thread and I wanted to see if they would be the same for the '07.

I need all the torque specs for the front brakes. It has the JD9 option.
