Easy,Insert one of your original keys in the ignition and start the truck, then take out that key and insert the new key and start the truck again,Thats it....your done!

First take the original key that is already programmed and stick it in the ignition. Turn the key to run but do not start the vehicle. Wait until the security light goes off and then remove the key from the ignition.

Now take the new transponder key that is not yet programmed and stick in the ignition and turn it to RUN. Do not start the vehicle. Wait until the security light turns off and remove the key. The new transponder chip key should now be programmed. Test it by inserting the new key into the ignition and start the vehicle. If the vehicle starts, the key was successfully programmed. If it does not, repeat the steps above.

Ahh sonjaab, thats what I said to do

You CAN start the vehicle,I do this everyday at work when I cut keys for these vehicles,also...no need to wait for the security light to go out either.
