All HD AT4's (and denali's) are crew cabs. All HD crews have 36 gallon tank (cab and chassis trucks excepted) HD Double cab std box diesels are 29, gassers 36. DC long box are 36. HD Reg cab gasser = 36, diesel = 28 I'm surprised they have both a 28 and a 29 in the system. I've put 132 litres in my 2018, (which is also supposed to be a 36 gallon tank). That's 34.8 usgal. I don't make a habit of that, but am often at 128 to 130 litres (about 34 usgal) Estimated range screen changes from a number to a 'range low' message somewhere in the 50 miles remaining range.

The dmaxes have an OLM, just as the gassers do. 3.0 supplement says: The engine oil life system calculates engine oil life based on vehicle use and displays the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message when it is time to change the engine oil and filter. The oil life system should be reset to 100% only following an oil change. See “Engine Oil Life System” in the owner’s manual. OM of course, says : This vehicle has a computer system that indicates when to change the engine oil and filter. This is based on a combination of factors which include engine revolutions, engine temperature, and miles driven. Based on driving conditions, the mileage at which an oil change is indicated can vary considerably. For the oil life system to work properly, the system must be reset every time the oil is changed.

Is the other key any better?

Does it have the buttons on the back of the steering wheel for volume (rhs) and to change station (lhs)?

They both have the ventilated seats available. Currently, optional on LTZ, Std on HC, optional on SLT, std on AT4 and Denali

Seems to be the same instructions as the 2020 owners manual. (Starts on page 311 of the sierra version.)

Looks like fogs in the lower corners of the GMC. T40 Fog lamps, front LED Standard on all trims. Of course, they can, and do, change equipment and configurations whenever they want. Haven't seen chev pics yet... EDIT: and don't see them listed in the chev info.

Any lift/level/tire changes?

GM claims it will work with 'most' electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. Might be good to test ahead of time.

On a 2019 Denali intellibeam was optional TQ5 IntelliBeam, automatic high beam on/off 1 - Included and only available with (PDJ) Driver Alert Package II. TQ5 and or PDJ rpo codes in the QR code or the build sheet would verify installation.. (a phone with a qr code reader app is needed --- and they QR doesn't have all the codes so it might be necessary to get the build sheet) But, if the 'A' lights up on the dash, it would seem that intellibeam is both installed and operating. If there isn't a button in the end of the blinker/headlight stalk it would seem a dealer visit is in order. Fwiw, older sierra's with LED lights and intellibeam activated/deactivated the system by moving the blink stalk fore/aft, as is done to flash lights or engage high beams. It was difficult for many to use, so the button seems like a much better idea.

Do you know that it was full at the start of the 9400 miles? I don't have much faith in the def gauges other than to get a guestimate. What is you average fuel mpg over those miles? DEF is used whenever a diesel is running. Use is proportional to fuel used. More fuel requires more def. GM published that they expected the 6.6 to use about 1.5 to 2 gallons of def per 100 gallons of fuel (1.5 -2 % of fuel usage). If 3.0 ratio is the similar, then expected def can then be worked out from average fuel usage. 9400 miles at 25 mpg 9400/25 = 376 gallons of fuel 2% = 7.5 gallons of def.

Some dealers have evening and/or Saturday appointments...

The AC light doesn't mean the compressor is engaged. Just means that it is available. Humidity control is much more effective when the AC is used.

Should also be able to order a full-size key pre-cut from a dealer. (or a blank, if you'd rather run around and find a locksmith) Probably won't be cheaper, but for some it might be much easier or quicker.

There are two thermostats (one opens before the other) My 18 runs a 200 once it is warmed up, same as my LML did. Most noticeable in cool ambient temps, light loads and hasn't run long enough to be fully temp stabilized the needle will 'wiggle' a few degrees some around the 200*F point. If it needs 1/2" of coolant every couple 100 miles, the leak should be tracked down. Sounds like you've got that process started. Let us know the results.

Sure they can. Mine are better than that. 34.1 29.8 24.4 Yes, that set was in the mountains and I don't expect a repeat. Any day when its' not windy I can take you on a drive on a flat ground out-and-back trip and get the average at or above 25. Even on winter fuel. But that's at 55-60 mph, not at 75-80.

Truck thinks it has a faulty DEF sensor. I'd guess they will install a new one. Let us know.

Possible alternate solution: I've discovered that the control pad in the garage can easily be used to 'lock' the garage door so it won't open using a remote. (the built in vehicle remotes and the remotes supplied with the openers; none of them work when the pad is set to lock) Our openers have 3 button control pads. Big button is the usual open/close, one of the smaller buttons turns on the light on the opener without moving the door, the other button locks out the opener. When locked the is a LED indicator light that verifies that the door is locked out. I use the 'lock' on the openers regularly, for the reasons you mention.

GM also offers a 2" lift kit thru accessories. Have a look at the kit --- it will show what is changed. Has he looked at an Elevation in a colour he likes? Might be a lot easier than removing a lift. Maybe a Denali and change the grill and/or grill surround or an SLT and vinyl wrap the chrome bumper?

Thanks for verifying that it does 'elevated idle''. I expect it doesn't do the other one -- the 'high idle'. Did you have to turn it on or was it on already? Have you done a 'below freezing' start (or remote start) with it on? Did it ramp up the idle? And then kick off if/when the throttle, brake or gearshift was moved?

Did they say it would be approved for gasoline or are they developing it for use with the 3.0L?

2020 owners manual says: If the vehicle is left parked and running with the RKE transmitter outside the vehicle, it will continue to run for up to half an hour. If the vehicle is left parked and running with the RKE transmitter inside the vehicle, it will continue to run for up to an hour. The vehicle could turn off sooner if it is parked on a hill, due to lack of available fuel. The timer will reset if the vehicle is taken out of P (Park) while it is running. What it doesn't say is what happens if it's in Neutral with the parking brake on...??? Does it mean that the timer doesn't run if it's not in park? Anybody that needs/want it to idle longer tried that?

That's interesting. On 2020 Silverado 3500 it's shows as optional all trims, and requires Z71. On 2020 Sierra 3500 it shows as 'included and only available with X31 on base/SLE/SLT trims. But it's standard on 2020 Sierra 3500 AT4 and Denali (and not available on dually Denali) I've had vehicles with it, have read the description of how it works. Haven't yet found a place where I needed/wanted it. Of course there must be those out there that can and do use it. You can download the 2020 sierra and/or silverado owners manual from GM website if you need details about how it works to assist your decision.

I've noticed that too. I also find that if I'm watching one of the fuel economy graph screens, and am running on a 'mostly level' cruise, that the instantaneous fuel economy will run somewhere around 10 mpg less than when not in regen. I don't track frequency anymore, but when I was they were about 400 mile intervals. More frequent than my LML, but they were shorter duration. Exhaust also sounds different, but that's tough to notice unless at parking lot speeds. Currently somewhere over 25,000 miles.
