    I'm not questioning/ doubting you, rather asking out of my own ignorance, but if you don't give them a deposit, is there a risk of them selling your truck to someone else once it's built and delivered?

    If I remember correctly, windows down is more efficient below 55 mph and A/C is more efficient above 55 mph. Thinking back now, I can't decide if their test method was flawed or not, as they ran the A/C full blast, requiring the driver to wear a parka.

    In that case, what got you into an AT4 instead of an SLT, if you don't mind me asking? (This question mostly arises from my own ignorance in that I don't know what features the AT4 has that the SLT doesn't, other than the lift.)

    If you live in a hilly area, cruise control is not your friend. I found that switching from a mentality of trying to maintain speed on my commute to trying to maintain throttle position and letting the speed drop when going uphill improved my mileage by ~50% (went from 20 mpg to 30 on my car).

    I never speed but then again I have a much better understanding of risk than the average person.

    I'm the same height as you and I can't even get into a stock K2 without running boards. I can't imagine clambering into an AT4 every day, even with assist steps. Those Tacomas are cramped. Less interior space than my compact car.

    I love my 2012 Kia Forte Koup with the 2.4L I4 (naturally aspirated) and 6 speed manual.

    Satin steel looks nicer to me in pictures but it's $495 (in Canada, anyway).

    I agree with the folks who recommend running in 2H unless traction is bad. However, when I'm driving my company's trucks around the plant where I work, I find it will spin a little on the sand and gravel that's all over our roads so I usually shift to 4A so our safety guys don't give me shit.

    I can't believe that a truck that can cost north of $80k CAD doesn't come with a locking gas cap.

    I'm pretty sure I know the answer but, just to confirm, L wouldn't let me shift into second, say if I'm in a low traction situation and want less torque so the wheels don't just spin?

    Not sure if they improved it for the T1 but I hate the jump seat in the K2s. Folded down for storage, it sits right where I put my elbow when holding the wheel with my right hand. Cup holders are too small for my water bottle (not sure if they're any bigger in the consoles), nowhere out of sight but still handy for me to keep my sunglasses, tire pressure gauge, pens, parking passes and various other stuff I like to carry with me. Plus I wouldn't really want someone sitting there when I'm driving anyway.

    Pretty tough to put 1000 lbs of gear in a boat. My dad usually has 400 lbs at most when his is full of jerry cans of fuel and propane cylinders for our lake lot.
