  1. To exhaust their supply..........
  2. The different is the bypass setting, the WL10255 is 22 psi. The 57045 is 15 psi. Correct is 22.
  3. Never had one leak yet and all my trucks/cars in the last 20 yrs have had one.
  4. All 1/2 tons (1500) come with 6-bolt wheels, no exceptions. From what I can see, both the standard and F44 come with the same rear axle. F44 is a suspension option. Try this, GM production spec's 1990 Chevrolet Truck
  5. Note, Nav maps updates are misnomer, it's really mostly only points of interest. There are roads near me that are misnamed and have not been corrected in years.
  6. Not in a 2001, it was first used in a 2002½ Cadillac STS and not until 2015 and only in the Suburban LTZ. Chevrolet Suburban Standard from 2015 model year on LTZ Chevrolet Tahoe Standard from 2015 model year on LTZ GMC Sierra Denali trim GMC Yukon All 4 corners on Denali trim Only on rear on SLT trim Source: GM Btw, There was a rattling sound in the front of my 2015 Sierra Denali. Dealer said it was bad strut bumpers so they ordered new ones. When taking the front struts apart, they found this;
  7. It could be the "Active Fuel Management" (AFM) and be a normal characteristic. I have not noticed anything like this with my truck in 45,000 miles but then again this is the 3th truck I have had with AFM so I am don't notices it.
  8. Water intrusion is a known problem. Mine had to replaced this year.
  9. No. I put in 2 gallons (8 qts) and the stick reads just above the cross-hatched area. I don't pay any attention unless the level drops into the cross-hatched area which indicates a1 qt range. In the last 15,000 OCI mine only used about 1/3 qt of oil.
  10. In 2004, GM sold a mere 5,502 vehicles equipped with Quadrasteer — most of them Sierra half-ton pickups, according to Ward's data. http://wardsauto.com/news-analysis/quadrasteer-course
  11. I believe I got better MPGs because I need to justify my silly purchase. You CAN'T gain mileage in a computer controlled system by changing the filter. More air = more horsepower = more fuel. Effect of Intake Air Filter Condition on Vehicle Fuel Economy
  12. Using solvent based upper induction cleaning on GDI engines that is used while the engine is running will and oes cause scouring/scratches on the pistons and cylinder walls as the hard deposits break loose.
  13. All Denali's have Magnetic Ride Control, no exceptions.
  14. You are not going to get very good mileage driving 80 mph. The faster you go, the more fuel you will use, common sense. Studies have shown going from 55 to 75 mph can increase fuel consumption by as much as 20%. 15 city/22 hwy is what I see on a local dealer website
  15. I worked for years as a DOT surveyor along the highways under traffic conditions. While you may not realize it, your vehicle is getting sand blasted all the time. Dirt/grit/rocks/sand all kicked up by moving traffic and most of it by big trucks. Just standing along the shoulder when trucks pasted by you could feel it, always had to look away or get blasted. Once a semi sped past us, kicked up so much grit that a worker 50 ft off the road got it in the face and eyee even with safety glass's on, had to go to ER and have his eye drilled to remove fine dirt. Its not the paint, its the environment that is the problem. Stay of the freeways, don't tailgate etc.

  17. Engine Oil prices are rising fast as well. Most major oil companies have raised finished oil prices at least 2X since 1/1/17 and its being driven primarily by escalations in base oils and additive costs over the past several months. Avg. is about +10%. Shell's GTL plant in Qatar has been operations at 1/3 capacity for some time.
  18. I had a Century brand on my last truck and was disappointed that the rear door hardware, hinges and bolts rusted badly after just one winter, about 8-months of use. Not to mention replacement parts were difficult to get and expensive. Took about 6 weeks for my dealer to get Century to send him the correct parts and then they would not warranty them for rust and corrosion. This A.R.E. has gone 2 winters now and not a sign of rust on anything.
  19. The vehicle ignition needs to be in the “Run” or “Accessory” position for the Wi-Fi hotspot to be active. The coverage for the in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot depends on the wireless carrier network coverage. When you are in areas where coverage fluctuates, performance may be impacted. In a 2G-coverage area, the Wi-Fi hotspot will not work. In a 3G-coverage area, streaming data or video to your devices may result in the degradation of your service. The Wi-Fi hotspot has a range of 50ft. from your vehicle. https://www.onstar.com/us/en/services/coveragemaps.html
