New guy here with a question.

2008 Silverado CC LT2 5.3V8 CA package (20 wheels and cargo mgmt system)

When ever I start my truck after its been sitting over night and totally cold I get a weird noise. It sounds like an exhaust leak coming from the engine left side in the back of the engine bay, it last about 1 sec after the truck is started, after that it sounds normally and runs great. I have had nothing come up on my display and the ONSTAR updates every month don't say anything. Anybody have any idea's?

Thanks!

This is very normal. It is a little lifter tap/clatter. Your truck has hydraulic roller lifters in it. It uses oil pressure to keep tension on the push rods. After sitting for a while, some of this pressure will back off and at start up it builds again.

Ok, I thought about something like that but it just started doing this about a month ago, I have had the truck 1 year at the end of August and its got 8000miles.....kinda wierd it would start doing that now.
