High Flow Catalytic Converters

Hi was just wondering if i would benefit changing to higher flow catalytic converters on 5.3l or if anyone did this? Looking at magnaflow part number 99006HM..they cost about 90 apiece. Just have cat back exhaust and other basic bolt ons. Thanks..

What bout exhaust cutouts? Any gain at the track with those?

Your stock cats are already high flow cats, no need to waste your money, you won't see any gains.

Thanks for the response..dont have a tune yet but should by the end of next week used to have a superchips but back to stock right now and honestly i dont reccommend superchips..

still running stock headers wit flowmaster exhaust and aem intake..stock cam. What cam you reccommend for a 5.3l truck i use for basically going to town..i use it like a car mostly. Wanting to bump up the cam here shortly..seems longtubes r for sure the way to go??

They have all been high flow now since at least the 90's.

Yes, they use EFI-Live which can specify the level of torque management.
