I know how to debadge the emblems, but I want to remove the 4x4 sticker from the back quater panel. I use fishing line and goo gone to take the emlems off, but I was wondering how to get this one off. Any tips/tricks to get this sticker off would be great, I think it would give the truck a cleaner look.

When I did mine I just used my finger nail and "picked" at it till it started coming off. Then when I got it to where I could grab it I just slowly pulled it off. Once it's off just make sure that there is no glue from the back off it on the paint and wax it to protect it.

Great question as i have been wanting to do the same thing. I'll be trying it sometime this week.

there is an eraser wheel you can attach to a drill, thats what most autobody people use. you can get it at most auto places for about 15 bucks. works great and doesnt mess up the paint. it will start shredding the sticker right off then just put some rubbing compound on it and it will look like a new truck. ( just dont use it on plastic!!!!!)

Hair dryer or iron. I have always used an iron with a wet towel under it. Peels right off.

Same here. I din't use heat on it, and it came right off.

Ditto on the hair dryer or CAREFUL use of a commercial heat gun. Used to remove TONS of decals from fire and police equipment that was re-deployed"...

Patience and care a a virtue on this one. Just get the glue/sticker hot, and peel off carefully. Have a couple of malted beverages next to you and enjoy them while you take your time.

Hair dryer works extremely well. But if you live where it's warm especially, parking the truck in the sunshine does the trick. I had to peel the Crime Stoppers decal that was still on my Caprice from it's cop car days and even as old as that was, a little heat from the hair dryer took it right off.

Hell, you wouln't even get a half beer down. Unless you took a beer break, of course. :rollin:

Seriously...it took me less than a minute on each side WITHOUT a heat gun. The bowtie, however, was a bitch.
