Been looking around in here for awhile. Thought I'd say hello and that I've enjoyed read your posts. Being in Janesville where the now closed GM plant is I've owned alot of Chevy trucks. My first was built here and I got to see it going down the line was a 1979 C10 2wd short box with a inline 6 and 4sp manual trans. Now I have a 2009 Chevy 1500 Ext. Cab long box 4x4 and love it. I got so tired of the short boxes and the times I needed to haul more than i could fit. Well here's a pic back before all the snow started.

My 08 Tahoe was built there. Pretty sad to hear it close down

It is very hard to drive by there, and all the empty homes. But we will rebuild. GM still says that Janesville is just idled but I think thats just a feel good phrase.
