crankman Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Loaded up coming fixing to head home from deer camp. Easy pull for the 6.0 just a 16ft Big Tex. 1

Donstar Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I've had this combination on a couple of 100+ mile excursions now. This is a smooth pull for my V6. MPG are much better cruising at 60 mph than 70!

My trailer pictured above is 3900 lbs dry. I am very pleased with how well my 4.3 pulls and your combination demonstrates that I have power to spare! 1

Bhurt Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 The 6.0L handled the load quite well. I had the boat full of stuff, under the quad was full of stuff, and 3 people plus a cooler in the cab. She was well loaded, cruised at 60MPH (100kph) for a 120 Mile trip (200km) and averaged about 8mpg according to the truck calculation. 3

I actually used the old style red metal oil change ramps with a couple 2x6 boards underneath the front of them. If I didn’t have the tonneau cover it probably would have fit with just the ramps. The metal ramps are about 1-2” higher than the new plastic style ones. 1

My dad has a set of those red metal ones. I may have to "borrow" them! 1
