Coolant Pump Noise

I have a 03 yukon xl with the 5.3L with flex fuel, their is a grinding noise coming from the coolant pump. I'm not sure if its the coolant pump or the serpintine belt tensioner that attached to the pump. How can I tell what is making all the noise?

take the belt off and turn the pullies or take to a mechanic for a diagnoses,

Good advice. The belt comes off easily and spinning the individual pulleys will reveal the culprit.
