Yep it's official, i hate CT weather, give me back western new york.

 

ice+4000lb truck+ acadia passenger doors= new drivers side pumper piece for truck and 2 new doors for some nice guys acadia. mother efer.

 

truck is barely 2 months old.

 

anybody got ideas on what that'll cost to get fixed, the bumper cover plastic piece thing is touching driverside headlight, the inner fender bulged in a little, no broken lights. i was sliding so slow, i had enough to swear about 5 times before i hit him, no abs it was so slow.

the marks in the snow are me sliding along the curb, no abs, too slow tried curb and snow... truck too heavy going down hill and that acadia is what my driverside bumper did... there isn't much to show on the truck, photos of IT tomorrow.

What is a "pumper piece"? :crackup:

 

 

I think he meant "bumper piece". I assume his pickup is not a firetruck with a pumping unit on it.

the plastic bumper cover on the front driverside below headlight is pushed in, as is the bumper itself on that side, the headlight is pushed in 1/4", bumper cover has to be replaced so does inner wheel well. the front bumper is pushed in 1/8 where the chrome meets plastic. bumper support is straight, it bent the bumper flange at the attachment point not the brace itself. fog light is fine, hood looks fine, no gap change where door meets fender either.... THAT has to be a good sign, but i'm concerned about pushed in headlight-radiator core support

 

she put it in as no fault nobody to go after, the other guy is blaming ice too so i should get no fault, but i feel like my insurance is paying for sure... i hit him, but it's because of ice not my driving.

Hmmm, sounds like she is using comp? Either way, at least your vehicle will get fixed...sucks that it is young but hey, things happen.

NO FAULT in CT only applies to bodily injury where each ins co pays for their own insured hospital bills unless someone sues. If you hit him and he didnt run a light or something, your insurance will pay to fix his vehicle. Was there a police report?

Sucks, but the ice wasn't driving the vehicle... So it kinda is operator error. Same thing happened to me in my '87 Cutlass, but in the rain. Still my fault. Sorry to hear about the whole situation...

I rearended a passenger car at very low speed with my Nissan pickup about 15 years ago when my truck wheels locked up (despite the rear wheel ABS) when it hit a huge puddle of oil on the road when I braked to a stop at a red light behind this car. I did not get ticketed, but my insurance had to pay for the damage to the other vehicle (truck was not damaged), which was about $ 1,000. It sucks, but that is the way it is.
