I Think Gm Made A Minor Mistake

I have had my truck for 1 month now. I got 1,600 miles on it.

I bought some of the Mcgard wheel locks and went to put them on. I have the 20" Chrome Clad wheels with the center cover.

As I made my way around the truck installing one wheel lock on each wheel and replacing the cover, when I got to the front left wheel and I pulled off the cover, I noticed the lug nuts were different.

All the 3 other wheels had regular lug nuts you would find on any car, but the front left wheel it had the lugnuts that are taller and have the threads on the outside, similar to what my 02 Silverado had on it so the center cap could be attached.

That was odd that all 6 lug nuts would be like that on only one wheel!

A minor mistake if I would take a guess. I am pretty sure these were installed at the factory. :rollin:

Anyone else have any ideas?

They probably ran out of the correct lug nuts so they used what they had.
