Readylift Vs Rough Country

Hey guys, as many of you know I just bought a 2010 crew cab z71 sierra saturday. RED :shakehead: and i'm getting it tinted today. tomorrow I need to decide on a leveling kit. I want a readylift 2.25" but im worried the billet aluminum might corrode(even though I haven't heard of it happening) I can get a readylift installed for $300 or a rough country for $225. Can I get some pictures and your opinion. I have enough cash for either so thats out of the question. I also know there's hundreds of threads over these leveling kits but none over comparing the two. It'd be great to get some opinions today, thanks!

I have the Rough Country and have no complaints. Rough Country is the most popular leveling kit here. If that extra 1/4" isn't important to you, I'd go with RC.

:nono: I bought my RC 2" kit and installed it in under 45 minutes for $34 delivered.

Def. RC 2" kit in my book :shakehead:

If you could tell by the eye, I'd be surprised. Mine sits .5" lower in the front. :shakehead:

i really can tell a little bit. but the thing is i see some rc kits that make the truck lean to the back a little. that's why im worried about getting it you got a sharp truck but im a redneck and i drove a lifted ford for a while so i need mine to sit adequately level haha

i guess i could talk the rear blocks out if it comes down to it now being leveled enough

ive noticed that when these trucks "measure" perfectly level, they actually "look" like the rear is sagging.

so its kind of ironic..... you're so hard pressed about having your truck measure level that you'd actually rather it "look" unlevel via rear sag?

imo, nothing looks worse than a sagging truck... it screams "old & worn"...

Word. I don't understand the cali-lean look at all. I'm actually replacing the stock block with 3" blocks soon to gain the rake back for when I haul stuff.

Not quite sure what being a redneck has to do with it, because I come from a LOOONNNG line of rednecks and sitting low in the rear looks like a "dog with his tail between his legs"! But...to each his own!! AND it is your truck!!

I have the Rough Country 2" leveling kit with right at 3/8"-1/2" rake. Here is a pic...

i agree, but so does it leaning foward. it looks like something an old man drives because he's had it too long when it leans foward. but everyone has different tastes and styles vary by region...

Go with If you are so worried about it looking like the nose is diving then go with the ready lift. I'd say more than 95% who respond here will say RC just because that is the general consensus of the forum members. I feel as though mine sits pretty level and I can't tell with my eyes that my back is still barely higher than the front. Honestly I don't see how you can tell but if you can then just go with ready lift.

I have the rough country 2" kit and my truck sits pretty level.

What you should do is measure the front and rear and see what the difference is than look for a kit with that difference.

You might need to look into a CCM 2.5" kit Or I would highly recommand the Top Gun Customz 2.5" kit.

Sounds to me like you already know which one you want. With most 2" leveling kits you are not going to achieve a "level" stance. As others have said, you will sit about .5" lower in the front. When my truck was leveled I could tell that it was lower in the front and it drove me crazy. Fortunately I no longer have that problem.

thank god i'm not the only one who noticed that and has that problem. right before my I sold my ford 2 weeks ago it started leaning foward and it killed me but i'm getting the readylift put on tomorrow. i'll upload some pictures of it tomorrow
