Why Does My 07 1500 Have A Solid Chrome Front Bumper And Every Other O

my front bumper where the chrome is is solid and all the others have a gap in there, i guess to let more air in? can i change mine out?

My 08 also dosent have the hole in the bumper, I think it may have something to do with the size of the engine maybe? Better cooling and air in the radiator. I got the 5.3 in mine but I honestly have no clue

For 07 it was only the VortecMAX with 6.0L and 4.10 rear and NHT pkg, which has the slotted front bumper for extra cooling.

It could also come with 3.73 gears and have the slotted front bumper

 

Here is a pic of one, my front bumper is painted to match because it is an LTZ.

Pretty sure it comes with the HD cooling package.

its on the max trailering package on 1500, all 2500 get them and all 09-10 get the slot.

 

You can easily change it out if you like the slot

I think that came out in 09 didn't it? cuz my brother had an 08 identical to mine (same options, same engine, same gears, different color) and he didn't have the gap and i do

all good guesses but mine has the HD trailering package with the larger cooler and i don't have the slot. it doesn't bother me all that much i was just curious.

I have the slot, my gf makes fun of it; and says its like a piggy bank slot... I told her good, I hope someone puts money in it...

Are you sure you have the HD trailering package?

 

Because this isn't a guess. 07-08 the slotted bumper came with the HD trailering package. For 09+ they are standard and come with all of the 1500s.

 

This is a guess. Maybe some early production 07's didn't get the slot???

lol..ya its no guess, that bumper came with the max trailering package on the 1500's for 07-08, not the standard trailer package. I have the standard trailer package with no gap...had to be the max.

 

09's and up the all have the slot

In 07 the true Vmax that had 6.0L, 4.10 gears and NHT max trailer pkg came with the slotted front bumper for extra cooling,and the denali. Not sure from 08 on..but I know the last couple of yrs they all have slotted bumpers.
