Any Mountain Bikers....

Now i know the majority of this forum is 50+ in age ... but i recall there being a few other young whipper snappers around here talking about mountain biking....

Well, a little over a week ago i had a little accident.... damn tree came out of nowhere! I have a feeling that some of you guys will appreciate these:

Although it literally made me sick to my stomach... instead of rebuilding the bonty, i opted to upgrade the wheelset (im going to rebuild it when my friend gets home from college and keep them as a spare.. or sell them and get a MUCH cheaper set for a spare).

Went completely UST while i was at it

OUCH!! I dont mountain bike but I am an avid 20" BMXer. I'm 23 now but I have been riding trails, tracks, and other areas since I could walk it seems. My best buddy has a built Cannondale he use to trail ride. Trust me I know the expenses in that sport. Niiiice bike by the way! I just see $$$$ when I look at those partcially tacoed rims.

I used to when i lived in Florida.. they converted some old phosphate mines into trails... pretty dangerous sometimes, come flying around a corner to find a 40 foot frop-off... did a few endo's.. saw some guys get airlifted out... never damaged a rim though...
