So idk if this is the right section. I guess I could have put it in Fullsize section but I was already here and figured the same people would look at it.

I want to get after market exhaust. Preferably Corsa Sport dual system with pipes running out the back. Since I have a body lift would the pipes be 3 inches lower than the body and not right under the bumper?

Here's the system I want

I had a custom exhaust on mine and after the body lift it was 3" lower, I would assume on yours it would be the same but any exhaust shop can fix it for you.

They can just modify the hangers. No tailpipes FTW!

I'm kinda agreeing with you. I'm thinking of getting the corsa sport muffler by itself. The thread is in the fullsize section somewhere with the part number to a "replacement" muffler but it's the same muffler part number that comes with their cat back system. Not sure how the muffler will sound by itself though without the entire system since noone that I know of has done this.

Oh the troubles of modding a truck :D

Most shops will clamp the muffler in place temporarily and let you hear it before you give them the green light.

Why no tailpipes?

Looks cleaner. I'm not a fan of tailpipes either...

Brett, just dump it after the axles and you're set :noway:

FTW..If you do a muffler swap only. Keep in mind the Corsa muffler is center in and center out. You'll have to customize the existing head pipe between the flex section after the Cats and the muffler. The current muffler inlet is offset to one side and the pipe runs down that side of the channel heading to the muffler.

That's how it is on the 6.2L anyway...I don't know if it is the same for the 5.3L

Just got done talking to a dude at the gas station wth BL silverado. He had duals out the rear. I didnt like the way it looked at all. If it were MY truck and I had a 3" body lift, I would get an aftermarket side exit its easier to close up the gap on them by twisting the exhaust a little, but you'll still have some gap.

The only way I'll go with a complete setup is if it's dual outs and I'd rather not have it look funny. Since I cut my tailpipe I've been enjoying the no tailpipe look and think it looks really clean. What I'll end up doing is just a muffler swap with either a corsa sport or corsa db muffler and just dump the pipe after the axle.
