Hitch Problem/replacement Suggestions

The hitch on my 07 cc Max has an issue---the pin hole has become out of round.

It was caused by the angle on the hitch pin--will not be using those any more.

The hole is clearly been mushroomed. I am considering a Curt replacement.

Anyone have one of these curt #15522? I want the replacement to be at the same

height, I have a travel trailer and do not want to redo all that.

I don't know about model number. But I do have a Curt on one of my old Silverados. Great Hitch! I like it better than the hitch that comes on the trucks from factory.

I have always had Valley receiver hitches.......... But my 2001 2500 had a GM factory hitch on it when I got it.... So it is still on it.... It pulls a trailer at least once a week with it........

 

I have always been happy with the Valley IV/V hitches..

 

What caused your oval hole again????? The hitch pin? Was it the wrong size pin?

Curt makes a great hitch. I have never heard anything but good things about them. Not sure that part number you are looking at is right though. Is are truck a 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax? You said cc max and that is what I am guessing. The part you posted is for the 1500 chassis.

 

I am planning on upgrading to the 15602 on my '08 2500HD, while it might be a bit overkill with a rating of 18000 / 1800 both WC and WD it is the same shape and look of the factory hitch. It does use the larger 2.5" class V ball mounts though. Not sure if this is a problem for you.
