i recently pulled my trailer about 2800 kms, i put all fresh fluids in EVERYTHING ALL synthetic, transfer case, diffs, royal purple in the tranny and mobil one in the motor. the trailer was about 4500 LBS and the truck was LOADED too. i was gettin between 7-9 MPG. thru the prairies i got like 9 but in northern ontario right around home its really hilly i was gettin like 7. is this normal?? havent towed that long before and never really payed any attention that closely...sorry no pics. lol. was just tryin to get there!

another thing, ive seen guys dissin airbags on various forums, i think thats stupid cuz i love them!!! they are the ticket!!!!

From everything I have read and a few that own a 6.0 engine that sounds about right for the mileage when towing.

i figured that, just never towed more than about 200 kms with it, this was a looooong haul across canada the gas gauge just seemed to disappear!! i thought thru the prairies it would be a little better than that!!

Sounds about right. I get the same mileage towing a 7000 camper at about 65mph. Slowing down to 55 gets about 10-11.
