been noticeing i get a sound like the clutch fan running while the a/c is on...i hear it at low speeds but not on the highway? is this right or what? how exactly does the a/c work when i push the button? my last truck had kick vents :jester:

you're probably just hearing the a/c compressor running.... unless your truck has electric fans the a/c has no control over its rpms (dont think e-fans came oem in 04...think they started in 05 if im not mistaken)

In traffic and hot weather like most of the country is having now. When not moving the fan will kick in to keep things cool. My clutch fan would kick on some times with the A/C running and the truck not moving. The clutch is temprature activated with springs. That's one good thing about E fans I guess as it will always have air moving even while sitting still. Also when I first started up in the mornings my trucks fan would be on for a few seconds till I got moving.
