New Exhaust!

So I guess I'm gettin old but I just couldn't take it anymore. I finally broke down and installed new exhaust on my truck. For the last 3.5 years since I bought my truck I have been running 3" pipes from the cats back with no mufflers. In my opinion it sounded good because the big pipes made for a real nice deep tone. It was LOUD though!! I couldn't take it anymore and when towing I thought my head was gonna expload. I had been looking at the Flowmaster Force 2 system ($400) for a while. I went up to the exhaust shop that has done all my work on 3 different trucks and told them I wanted a 3" single side exit system with a 50 series Flowmaster muffler. I really like the look and sound of this new system. It's plenty quiet but still has some good tone to it. The shop did the entire system for $270. It's the same thing that the flowmaster complete kit would be just way cheaper. I had them reuse one of my 3.5" tips. I hate the look of the rolled edge straight cut tip that would have come with the Flowmaster kit.

looks great... yeah i was gonna go with no mufflers but i dont want to be annoyed since i do a lot a highway driving.. i love the sound of my new flowmaster... awesome truck

Thanks man. It can really get old driving with no mufflers on the highway and all over town. This new set up is perfect. The 50 series is one of flowmaster's quieter mufflers and after going the last 7 years with no mufflers, I must say I enjoy the sound of this system. The price was great too, the shop I use does great work.
