ok heres the deal. i am ordering a 2in rough country leveling kit for my 2010 1/2 ton silverado and eventually i want to get bigger tires and possibly rims, but i am stuck on whether to get 18 inch or 20 inch. i have the stock Z71 18 inch rims now with stock 265/65/18 tires. im leaning towards the 18 because they r way cheaper than 20s. help me out! anyone with pics would be great. thanks in advance

I've got some pics of my stock 18 tires and wheels with a 2" level and some pics of the stock 18 wheels with 33" BFG's with level if your're interested in seeing those pics.

^^^^^^^^

stock 18s with 33's prior to the level (i love how the different angles make my paint change color lol)

although I was bored of my 18s and went to 20's, sometimes i get bored of my 20s and want my 18s back lol

something to consider, i have yet to find a 285 65 18 in anything less than a load e-range 10 ply tire....get ready for a rougher ride

Money is one thing but you have to consider the overall lookand ride you want.

With the 20s you will get a rougher ride and it will not look as "off road"

In contrast the 18s will give you a better ride but not look as "street"

So I think what you need to ask yourself... What is the desired look and ride your going for.

My wifes Tahoe has 20s and it looks good

I ride on 18s

Mark, lose the 20" wheels your truck looked WAY better with the 18s.

What tires did you run in this pic (size/brand)? I think it looks perfect. Any rubbing on the stock suspension?
