07SilveradoClassic Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 They "reflashed" my cluster and it went a couple of months, but has begun to reset itself again
Raydar Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Interesting. I bought my '05 Crew with almost 100K on the odo, and the display showed less than 100 hours. I just figured that the previous owner had installed a tune into the PCM, and had reflashed it back to stock before he sold the truck.
slemmer Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Mine just reset itself to 28 hrs and at 143,000 kms. I thought it was a Christmas gift and someone forklifted a new motor under the hood.
Morgan1986 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 just notice mine does this to . I have 17 hours now on my truck . I must be driving really fast for 92,000 km

Gurrzt Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Too bad the odometers could not auto reset, my insurance company would love that one (lol). 1
PH-Wolf Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Same thing happened to my 2006 Chevrolet 2500HD. One day outta the blue I had 47 hours when the last time I check was over 800 hours.
jhm Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 my '01 has never reset. besides if it did i wouldnt lose sleep. just a gimmick.
hodo78 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I've owned 3 GMT-900 trucks and none have ever had a issue with the hourmeter resetting. I guess I have been lucky so far.
Morgan1986 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I find it would be nice to know the engine hours . Most heavy equipment is measured by engine hours .
jhm Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I find it would be nice to know the engine hours . Most heavy equipment is measured by engine hours . right, for maintenance. they dont have odometers. I just dont see the need for it on a pick up.
