Problems With 2010 Sierra

I was driving about 45 mph when suddenly, the engine slows down, messages start popping up on the dash about Traction control being turned off, Stabilitrak turned off and "Engine power reduced." I step on the gas and it barely moves but is still running. I make it home, which was about 1/2 mile away, and turn it off. Turn it back on and messages pop up that say Traction control and Stabilitrak needs to be serviced. I let it sit for a little while, and now there are no messages about TC or Stabilitrak, (i can now turn it in or off again), engine power is back, but the check engine light is on. Bought truck last August with 93 miles on in. It now has 18,600 miles and im assuming still under warranty.

WTF happened?

Anyone know whats going on?

Thanks

Most likely its something simple. I'd be a wheel sensor or abs sensor is faulty or dirty. And yes, your under warranty.

Limp mode. Hadent heard of that yet but that's exactly what it felt like. Today started it up, check engine light is off and everything feels like normal. Does it still need to go to a dealership and will they find anything wrong if everything is back to normal?

Thanks for the help.

I would take it in. The code should be stored and the dealer will be able to retrieve it. Prob better to get it looked at now before it happens again

I would still take it in. Just in case for any possible defects. Do you have a tuner, custom tune?

Nope no tune. Eveything under the hood is stock just like i bought it.
