I like the proportions of a lifted regular cab. That and I'm not good at driving long vehicles.

I've been lurking here for the last week or so since I just picked up my first Chevy about three weeks ago. Got a 2001 2500HD to use as a tow rig for my Toyota. Picked up the 2500 on a Friday and towed over 200 miles with it that Saturday...

That truck looks like a great find! Someone obviously took good care of it. I love the fact that it's towing a Toyota too....Just puts a smile on my face.

How many miles does it have? I always liked the look of the original HDs with the big bulging power hood. I would say it needs tires, but if it's a tow rig, the smaller tires will put more torque at your disposal. Anyways, good find! :)

Thanks for the positive comments. It has about 106,000 on it. It's a one-owner rig, and I don't think the previous owner used it as a truck at all; the bed is too nice...

I wouldn't mind some 265s to replace the 245s, but the tires are brand new, and the Toyota has 37"s, so I don't really have any reason to get anything bigger on the Chevy right now. The only problem I've found so far is the stupid fuel guage problem; it always drops to empty and then bounce back again. Seems pretty common with these trucks. It's not a daily driver, so I'm not gonna worry about it.

Went from an 09 LS because I was told that the dog needed to come with us, big mistake, I like dogs, just not the hair in my truck plus missed the 8" bed

here is my old truck

Just traded in for a new 2011 Z71 LT, bluetooth is a must, snow plow prep package, trailer package, plus a piece of plywood will fit.
