Sat. Radio Question

i have a 07 gmc sierra ....new body style and i am wondering if i have sat. radio ..when i bought the truck the salesman said i didnt ...i have onstar and all that stuff...the truck is loaded its a slt...I have the 6 disc changer in it...jsut dont know how to figure out if i have it ....i bought the truck used...

I see people use new body style both ways- when you say that do you mean you have the 99-07 style or the 07-current style truck? I think the older trucks had 2 of those black roof antennas-one for OnStar and one for XM. If you only have one, you may not have XM. 07+ trucks (at least mine :)) have a combined black roof antenna for XM and OS. All this aside, push the band or source button on your radio to cycle through the options. If you see XM channels, you have XM. Even if the radio is deactivated you should get the preview/info channel.

I have the 07 - current style....yes i mean xm radio...and when i push the band button it says use for xm radio...it doesnt let me preview any channels...

 

You have to call them with your vin and have it turned on for a fee.
