Rc 5"

looking to get the rc 5" lift.. But my only worry is that my 285/65/18's will look too small for the lift. Anybody have any input on this?

They should look fine. Sometimes I think my 285/65/18's look too big for my 4" of lift. It will look good. 5" lift with 33's looks great.

They will look fine until you can get some larger tires.

What is everyone's honest opinion of this lift? My buddy has the same truck as mine, seriously I wouldn't sell him mine so he bought the same one, and he has been throwing around the idea of installing this. Is the quality there? Are the kicker braces a must? He doesn't hardcore offroad but races motorcross and would use the suspension lift getting to riding spots, ect.

IMO, it's the best kit RC makes.

I've heard the same thing. It also has the ability to go to 7.5" if you ever want to go higher with not much extra money, just puts your axles at a little more angle. Still no more than a leveling kit does. It's nice to always have a way to go higher if you need to vs. starting all over or wishing you would have from the start.

Not exactly, but I see your point. Cutting off the droop stops is a lot more.

Yeah, I forgot about that. I thought itonly dropped the diff 5" and had a 5" spacer. I thought the 7.5" was just a larger spacer with the diff dropped only 5". Basically like adding a 2.5" leveling kit. I forgot about having to cut the bump stops off.

It basically is, but the spindles are obviously too short, hence the bad UCA angles and the need to chops the stops.
