O2 Sensor Replacement?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

So for those of you who do not know, I recently replaced the motor in my 2003 Silverado 1500, from a 4.8 to a 6.0. The only thing I decided not to replace was the O2 sensors... ok dumb idea :)

So I have two questions:

1. Should I get sensors for the 4.8 motor or the 6.0? Or are they the same thing?

2. Can someone give me Bosch part #s? I don't really want to spend the money on Delphi and I trust Bosch's name.

Thanks!

EDIT: I found that for the 4.8, the Bosch number is #15284. And for the 6.0, the numbers are 13694, 13178, and 15282... So my only question is which should I buy???

Which PCM are you running? The 6.0 PCM or the 4.8? Match the O2's to whatever PCM you are using.

Bosch and Delphi components are going to be similarly priced IME.

Ditto,

This question is asked in-front me me regularly at work.... What ever PCM you run that's what sensors and switches you should run, bc it processes the information supplied by the sensors and switches. Even if you have to change harnesses.... Edgewise are you getting the right signals???? It might be perfectly fine only that your PCM doesn't know you have the wrong sensor...

The PCM was tuned by Justin at Black Bear Performance. It is the PCM from my 4.8 but he tuned it for a 6.0. So I'll have to ask him as to how that goes I guess.
