My New Truck!

Recommended Posts

So Guys I posted a couple weeks ago I was going to look at this truck. And I bought it obviously and I finally got to get it cleaned up to my satisfaction to take pictures to show it off. 5.3, 4 speed, all the power stuff, factory remote start, GM bed cover, Z71, 44,000 miles. And I absolutely love this thing. I have the obvious future plans for it. Exhaust, intake, tune, leveling kit and tires. The one thing I'm wondering about that I forgot to ask the dealer was what gears I have. Is there anyway I can run the vin and find out?

Your going to have either 3.42 or 3.73's. Look inside your glovebox on the SPID label.....

GU6 = 3.42

GT4 = 3.73

What size tires do you have on there? I just bought the same truck but in the crew cab and it came stock with 17's. I bought 285/60/18's for it and i'm hoping to god they fit without a leveling kit.

Those are still the Bridgestone 265/65-18 it came with. I don't know for a fact, but i think you will have a little rubbing. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but on something like this the search option is your best friend.

and another thought, why are you so scared of a leveling kit? Everyone does them, I intend to do one. They are so cheap and easy to do.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ALIGNMENT. I didn't I knew better ( Meant to do it didn't make the time) and I put some serious wear on my new BFG's in 4k miles.

No, not everybody. It can present some alignment problems.
