The other day a message came up.to tighten my gas cap..so I pulled over and did so..didn't seem loose though. Message came back on the next time I drove the truck as well. Eventually after a couple times driving it that went away and my engine light came on..disconnected the battery and reset it ..a day later it came back on. Any idea what's goin on? Assuming I should take it in? 09 1500 btw

If you live near an Autozone buy a new cap from them and ask them to reset your error code for you. This happened on my wife's 2003' Blazer. Once I installed the new cap and they reset the computer, the errors never returned. I looked over the old cap and sure enough, the gasket was shot on it.

It's goin on tomorrow its still under warranty so I should be good.. just an inconvenience for what's probably a dumb problem

It's worth the trip. Basically its the PCM saying it cannot generate a vacuum in the fuel system due to a leak (typically gas cap). Could also be something else (hence the worth the trip part).
