a 4' x 4' box for transporting concrete cylinders, a tow strap, bucket with oils and chemicals, gas can and a couple antique jeep tires.

Toolbox with an assortment of items including tools, tow straps, ratchet straps, four tire chains, and lock deicer (got stuck outside my truck last winter, luckily the restaurant was next to an auto parts store). Also in the bed are about 15 sand bags that I used as a ballast last week for plowing in the storm. A no parking sign that I am "borrowing" from the local police department.

Now the back seat is another topic all together.

lol, when I read the title the first thing that popped into my mine is my bed, you know in the house, and I can tell you that right now there are 2 cats and a dog flopped out sleeping on it.

as for the truck bed.. duffle bag packed with emergency supplies, clothes, blankets, earthquake kit, etc. Tool bag with all the basics, Tent, air mattress, and Portable BBQ grill. since I have the side pockets on the Avalanche, there are emergency roadside things in there and 2 12 volt jump packs/portable energy devices.

I was reading this thinking you are perfectly prepared to live in California, then I read where you are from and sure enough you are.

lol, yeah but the reason all that is in there is because I take my daughter out to the desert for telescope viewing almost every weekend when the skys are clear, she is a star gazing nut (only 7) and I am too lazy to unpack it every Sunday, so it all doubles as my emergency kit..
