Anyone else using the OnStar RemoteLink app?

Been messing around with the OnStar RemoteLink Android App over the past day and I'm really impressed.

sk_josh and I just bought a 2011 GMC Sierra as a GM-TC project truck and we were pretty excited that it was compatible with RemoteLink.

It's actually pretty useful to be able to check the odometer, tire pressures, gas tank levels, lock/unlock, and remote start from anywhere. Not something I'll use on a day to day basis but I can see how it might be a lifesaver in a pinch.

Anyone else using the app? What do you think of it?

I use it often as I travel just about every week and I usually end up worrying that I didn't lock the truck. Now I can do that thousands of miles from home. The remote start is fun to show off too. :D

This truck here in NH I assume? What's planned on it? If you do something real cool before I move to MI in March I'll have to try and meet up with you guys.

I dont see the need to remote check fuel tank level, odometer or tire pressures. Only useful feature I see is unlocking the doors with your phone if you lock the keys inside but I wouldn't pay for onstar just to have that.

I use it fairly often. Remote start mainly. It's cool to be able to check fuel level, etc. I used it to unlock doors for my wife when I was out of town on business. Very handy.

Yes, it is! We're going to do a bedliner and bedcover to start. Eventually a leveling kit and engine tune. We're not going super crazy- just some easy stuff that everyone would find interesting. We'll be writing up each "mod" as we do it and posting our experiences and "how-to" articles.

I like it. Use it on our 11 Acadia. Tried it all out and it works well. I just wish that it would have GPS of the location of the vehicle and not your phone. Would make it nice for when my daughter starts to drive.

One unfortunate thing I found out about the app is that it will show you the remote start option even if you don't have remote start. I originally thought it was pretty cool that you could do it through the app if you didn't have it via the keyfob, but after trying it, having it fail, and calling into tech support, I found out that it's not supported. Bummer, it actually made me think twice about keeping OnStar mainly for that, but not now.

i use it all the time to check my odometer for work since we have to record our mileage. remote start is also handy when i'm in a hotel and my key fob is out of range. i think its a great app.
