I'm getting ready to trade my 2004 2500LD in on a 2012 1500 with the Max Trailering.

Did any build times have trouble with the 6.2L's burning oil?

Posted

No.

Matter of fact, just changed mine last week and after 6,000 hard miles, not down one drop of oil from where I left it when I last changed it.

Posted (edited)

only had one oil change in my '11 and not a drop missing! (only 6300 miles as of now)

I am just over 25K with no oil usage issues (other than an oil cooler line leak that was fixed Dec 2011)

Im at 33000 something miles and no oil usage problems. Runs great and for some reason these past few weeks the 6.2 seems stronger, possibly getting into its rythm after break in?

Cooler weather? That is what I am seeing it really hits it stride in the 50-70 degree outside temps

08 Denali stalled when pulling trailer.Called AAA by the time I got a ride and trailer home ( Loaded with 3 horses) tow truck driver calls and asks what's the problem truck starts right up. This has happened 3 times? talked to other owners and it's not uncommon .according to them any ideas other than throw money at the dealer to be told to bring to bring it in when it's acting up,which is kinda funny cause you cant't drive the damn thing.

I now disconect the battery and wate till it resets then start it,which works but I am driving a 62K truck not a Mahindra.

PS.No throttle body, fuel pump or fuel filter storie,s been ther done that.

Thanks

PIT4816D. That is where your dealer needs to start.

Not sure why this was posted in this thread for though.

Been away from the site for what seems forever.

Hey Ryan I am wondering how you like your 6.2 now that you have had it for a while.

I bought mine right after you bought yours but I have not driven it much. That is all going to change in a few months. Plan on towing a bike trailer down to Phoenix in November with it. Last year we took the wife's 5.3 and it did OK but the gas mileage was no hell!

I'll see what the 6.2 will do!

A Grey Camaro! I love it. Right on!

Could not have made a better pick for another 6.2!!!!!

Any mods to the Camaro? I know where do you start. There is so much after market stuff for them now. Even some of the stuff GM is offering through parts for them is amazing.
